With the kind permission of the PCH Foundation, the date for the next Perth Children’s Hospital Tennis Classic will be Sunday 4th May 2025. It will be the 25th of these annual tournaments since the first one was organised in 2000 by Mr Ken Bennett. They have appeared under various “brand names” over the years but always for the same good cause: the kids in the Children’s Hospital. After being kindly hosted by Next Generation King’s Park at their beautiful facility for many years, we have, in more recent years, been especially indebted to the committee and members of Cottesloe Tennis Club, who have also provided a magnificent venue for the event.

One of the most important and enduring features of the PCH Tennis Classic is the great atmosphere that prevails through the spirit and goodheartedness of the people who enter (n.b. That does NOT mean a lack of real competition on the court!! 😊 ). The PCH Tennis Classic is always fully booked long before the close-off date. Every effort is made to ensure we accommodate a large group of ‘regulars’ who have supported the event year after year, but the active aim is also to spread the involvement and engage players from various tennis clubs in Perth and the Margaret River region.
Matches are played as a round-robin in mixed doubles pairings arranged into divisions of similar-strength teams. Division levels range from “hot stuff” to “social – tries hard”, so everyone has a place. You can see more on the play format of the day by clicking on “Format” in the above Menu or in the footer below.

The enjoyable company, the amazing cake stall, great raffles, and silent auctions for prizes generously donated by our fantastic supporters add a lot of fun. You can get a taste of the day by checking out the photo gallery.

Also, please check out our supporters and support them whenever you can. Without their generosity, the PCH Tennis Classic would not exist, and we would miss the funds to help the kids in PCH.

(N.B. If you sign up, you will only see the occasional photos from the most recent tournament; it won’t lead to a barrage of emails and spam; you can control precisely what comes your way in the settings, and you can unsubscribe anytime. )
